Apparently Oculus. now owned by Facebook, signed a deal with Ubisoft for an Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell VR games.
Not too much information and I usually do not like to share what is not confirmed yet, but I have to admit that the idea of those VR games is appealing. Assassin’s Creed already got some escape room VR games around the world, so it should not be very hard for them to work a new project.
Facebook did confirm that they are trying to get specific partnerships but not which one specifically.
Having exclusive content and pushing for it is definitely a good move.
Radeon released this week its new RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 cards. The cards are overall pretty good but PC Gamer just noticed some issues in framerate. Along with those new cards, new AMD drivers were also available.
By comparing an older card (RX 590) with the old and new drivers, they noticed a drop in performances for a large number of games. For some of them it goes up to 30% and only one game actually seems to be faster than with the other (Tomb Raider).
That is a bit of bad news, but not that bad because it means that it is only due to the drivers. Let’s just hope that those AMD drivers will be fixed as soon as possible!
