Codemaster just put a GRID gameplay trailer on social media.
As you can see on the following video, the race track is Havana. Which does not really exist and is a street circuit. The cars are IMSA prototype, which in reality would probably hate that racetrack.
There does not seem to be any damages on the car when they collide with each other or with the rails. And the driving itself seems really drifty/arcade. Honestly the more it goes and the more I feel that the game will be closer to a Need For Speed game than a real race car game. Bottom line, not really convinced by that GRID gameplay. The game is still work in progress so I will not take any definitive conclusion at that point.
What I do not understand is that there are so many racetracks available around the world, why not took those? And if someone wants to create new tracks, why do they always need to be in a city?
As a reminder, the game will be available on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on October 11th
