Good Company available on Steam

If you like tycoon games, meaning strategy management games, then you should have a look at Good Company.

The game, proposed by developer Chasing Carrots and publisher The Irregular Corporation, is available right now on Steam as early access and gives you the opportunity to run a robot manufacturing empire. Meaning that you will have to create and expand your company. You will have to grow staff and manage tasks to maximize profit and propose some new tech products.

It also proposes a Campaign Mode, with rewarding scenario levels and bonus challenge maps while in Freeplay Mode you are free to shape your company however you want.

Just check it out on Steam.

Nier Replicant remake for this year

To understand what is going one, it is probably better to say that in the Nier family you have Nier Gestalt, released on Xbox 360, Nier Replicant on Playstation 3 (both of those games are mostly similar but have some little differences) and more recently Nier Automata.

And for people that have no idea of what is Nier … well it is a third-person action-RPG, sets in an apocalyptic future (a bit in ruins), with a lot of monsters to kill. Like really big and very hard to kill monsters, but the universe and story are usually really worth it. Nier Replicant also has a lot of jump in time, so the story is in a very long period of time. Explaining more than that would either spoil the story or require a 10 minutes explanation.

So now it is probably more clear that Square Enix has decided to remake Nier Replicant for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. It is supposed to happen this year but I have not seen a date yet.

But for those interested to play what happened before Nier Automata, that is cool. As a reminder NieR:Automata will also be available April 2nd, 2020 on consoles with Xbox Game Pass memberships.

The Council: Episode 1 is free to play!

The first episode of the Council is now free to play for all players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC! And that is good news when you have to stay at home!

The game is developed by Cyanide Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive, which gave us some very nice games last year, such as Vampyr, A plague tale: Innocence or Greedfall.

In The Council Episode 1: The Mad Ones, you set off on your journey with Louis de Richet on Lord Mortimer’s private island, in an attempt to discover the fate of your missing mother before it’s too late. You will be joined by several high-profile guests, including Napoleon Bonaparte and President of the United States of America, George Washington. Because .. well, why not.

And because it is for free, you should just get the rest by yourself, click here and get your redeem code!

On October 31, Battlefield V Chapter 5: War in the Pacific will be available. it is the first time in ten years, DICE is bringing players back to the battle of the Pacific in World War 2. Two iconic maps will be available: Iwo Jima and Wake Island. The battle between the USA and Japan will be more water-based, between islands, as you must secure control points using boats, tanks, or aircraft.

In the end, that new chapter brings:
– New maps: Iwo Jima, Pacific Storm, and, coming in December, Wake Island.
– New factions: The U.S. and Japan.
– New weapons including the M1 Garand and M1919A6.
– New vehicles including the M4 Sherman tank and the F4U Corsair plane.
– New stationary weapons.
– New gadgets like the Katana and Flamethrower Battle Pickups.
– New Chapter Rewards including weapons, soldier sets, weapon skins, and melee weapons.

The other very good news is that Battlefield V will get a free trial running through the next 2 weekends.Battlefield V’s narrative-driven flagship and multiplayer experience Grand Operations, where teams battle through several different maps and modes, will be available for all to jump into from Thursday, October 24 to Monday, October 28. Then, the new Chapter 5: War of the Pacific content will become available in the free trial weekend from Friday, November 1 through Monday, November 4.

Greedfall Gameplay

A couple of days old news, but I really wanted to shot it here: almost 4 minutes of Greedfall gameplay.

I already discuss that game in previous articles and it is on my list of games to get. And that video really confirms it.

The character customization looks awesome. The battles look great. The whole world looks incredible, with the addition of politics and factions. The video of Greedfall Gameplay. The choice between stealth or fight. The game has some similarities with Assassin’s Creed but some differences too and it will definitely put its own marks.

As a reminder:

The old world is dying, and its weary population is plagued by a seemingly unstoppable disease. The only hope lies in rumors that a cure may be found on the recently discovered island of Teer Fradee. Joining your cousin, governor Constantin D’Orsay, along with various factions with their own directives and hidden agendas, journey into a new world seeping with magic.

Player freedom and choice are core to GreedFall, as your decisions will build friendships, break alliances, diffuse conflicts and shape the future of the island

Greedfall is announced for September 10 n PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
